On 17th of October at 12pm the Klaipėda Faculty of Vilnius Academy of Arts (Daržų str. 18, Klaipėda) will host a zine making workshop by our current resident, artist Paulius Petraitis/Paul Paper (LT).

Zines are self-published non-profit publications, usually using a single printer and multiplying copies. They are generally distributed for free or by exchanging. More and more zines festivals and bookshops are taking place. Self-published zines can be about everything from poetry and personal writing, to food and record reviews,to zines about work, cats, health, feminism, and everything in between.

The workshop will introduce the culture of zines and self-publishing in Lithuania and worldwide, also basics of zine making and methods of production, participants will make their own (2-3 flaps) artistic zines.
