Nida Art Colony invites artists, designers, architects, curators, and art researchers to meet the coming summer and autumn on the Baltic Sea coast in the Curonian Spit National Park. The Colony was opened in March 2011 as a new branch of the Vilnius Academy of Arts (Lithuania).

Thanks to everybody who visited us, stayed with us and made our programme interesting and lively in 2011. The Year 2011 was our birth year and we were and we are still building our identity and community with the help of all our guests.

In the end of the year we are summing up what have happened, who stayed in the Colony and in Nida Residency programme. It was only 9 months of activity but because of all of you who stayed with us they were challengingly intensive and...

We wish for every our guest to meet a moose, however if you don't meet it, you can be creative as our resident Krišs Salmanis was - he made a moose himself from found materials in Nida in spring 2011.
